Aloha everyone. I'm Mike Scogna, the creator of this website.

I'm originally from northern California, and one day I decided I needed a fresh start and packed up all my belongings, my cars, and most importantly my dog "Apache", and followed my heart here to Hawaii on the island of Oahu. A big part of this site is about discovering Hawaii and all it's beauty. I really enjoy the weather here, as I am an "outdoors" kind of guy, always looking for a new adventure. I am also an avid hiker and explorer. Sometimes I just jump in my jeep and take a drive on a sunny day to see what I can find.

I started this site in 2021 to document my adventures and share my experiences with family and friends. I teach Scuba Diving in my spare time, and I was always asked by my students about hikes and things to see and do. So this website morphed into a place where my students and also visitors to the islands could get helpful information and ideas of how to spend their time here.

A few years ago, I got the travel bug and started researching places around the world. I had been to Mexico in the past, but never overseas. My first destination was to Bali, Indonesia. I enjoyed it so much that I knew I wanted to keep on going. I thoroughly enjoy traveling to other countries. You will notice I take a lot of pictures, because I love photography, and I strive to capture those perfect moments above water and below.
