Farol Ponta do Arnel

The Oldest Lighthouse in the Azores Perched on a dramatic cliffside on the northeastern coast of Sao Miguel, Farol da Ponta do Arnel is the oldest lighthouse in the Azores, dating back to 1876. This charming red-and-white lighthouse overlooks the vast Atlantic Ocean, offering stunning coastal views and a glimpse into the island's rich maritime history. The surrounding landscape features steep, green cliffs, rugged shorelines, and a picturesque fishing harbor, making it a perfect stop for photography lovers and nature enthusiasts.
